What Is The Showdown Progression?
After drafting your team, you'll face off in MLB The Show 25 Stubs a series of linear encounters, each with a specific goal. Completing these encounters will give you better cards and perks for your team. However, these battles are also the gateway to the Final Showdown.
Progression Overview:
Starting Deficit: At the beginning of the Showdown, you'll see a scoreboard on the right side of the screen, indicating your team is behind in the game by a substantial number of runs. This deficit represents the score you'll face in the Final Showdown.
Mini Bosses and Standard Encounters: Each encounter will either be a Mini Boss or a standard showdown. Winning these battles adds runs to your starting score in the showdown, making the climactic battle easier.
Mini Bosses: These are marked with red icons and are tougher challenges. Failing these encounters will end your Showdown run and require you to restart from the beginning, so make sure to prepare for them.
Standard Encounters: These are less difficult and allow you to build momentum as you progress. Winning these encounters is key to making the Final Showdown more manageable.
Skipping to the Final Showdown: If you're feeling confident and want to challenge yourself, you can skip directly to the Final Showdown at any point during your run. However, skipping will leave you with the starting deficit (or a worse one if you didn't progress far enough in buy MLB The Show 25 Stubs the standard encounters).
