It is not necessary to make the installation of your Linksys E1200 setup wireless router difficult. Begin by connecting your modem to the WAN/Internet port of the router using an Ethernet cable, and then turn on both devices. Afterwards, connect your computer to the router either by Ethernet or Wi-Fi and launch a web browser. In the URL bar, input 192.168.1.1 to reach the router's configuration page with the default credentials (usually, admin for both username and password). 

After you successfully log in, the system will guide you through to select your Internet connection type and assign a secure Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password. Remember to change the default admin password so that no one else will be able to access your network. After saving the settings, reboot the router - that’s all there is to it for a reliable home connection!
