How to maintain a home office desk?
The following key points should be noted when maintaining a home office desk:
Avoid high temperature and humidity
Avoid placing high-temperature items such as hot pots and cups directly on the desktop to prevent scalding marks. Avoid using damp cloths during daily cleaning. If accidentally splashed with water, wipe it dry in a timely manner to prevent the wood from absorbing water, deforming or cracking.
Daily cleaning and maintenance
Use a slightly damp soft cloth to wipe away surface dust, and stubborn stains can be lightly wiped with a neutral cleaner and immediately wiped dry. Avoid using corrosive cleaning agents such as alcohol and ammonia to prevent damage to the protective layer of the paint surface. Waxing once every six months to one year can enhance gloss and prevent moisture and dust.
Moisture proof and anti riot sun exposure
Avoid placing the office desk by the window or in direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure can cause the wood to dry, crack, and fade. During the dry season, it is advisable to use a humidifier to maintain air humidity between 50% -60% to prevent wood from cracking due to environmental changes.
Avoid heavy pressure and scratches
It is prohibited to directly cut or use sharp objects on the desktop. It is recommended to place insulation pads or thick pads to protect the surface. If scratches or white stains appear, a cotton cloth dipped in a small amount of toothpaste or specialized repair agent can be used to wipe them off.
